The classes will begin in early October at the O’Connell Centre, Cahersiveen. Read about it in on the Kerry Dark Sky  or the South Kerry Astronomy Group Facebook pages. Plans to continue the class into 2016 is being discussed, check out the Facebook page to see what is happening.

This year 2015 … The planned Photography Festival  grant application to the Arts Council was turned down….boo-hoo. We hope to have it resurface in 2016

We are now applying for funding to the Kerry County Council – so fingers crossed everyone.  If you know any business who would sponsor the event PLEASE let us know A.S.A.P, you will have FREE access to all the workshops etc if your tip pays off and the festival event goes ahead.

Workshops are a great idea but sometimes great ideas are washed away through lack of local interest. In order for the workshop to go ahead one needs the numbers to make it worthwhile. Workshops in astro-photography and astronomy are currently being planned.

Keep an eye on our FACEBOOK page for up-to-date information.
